El Toro was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the San Clemente Tritons 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Tritons back in March, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Hayden Stofle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, El Toro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Hazlett, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

El Toro has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for San Clemente, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-6-1.

El Toro didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against San Juan Hills on the 24th. As for San Clemente, they are taking a road trip to challenge Beckman at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tritons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
