Baseball Recap: Harlingen Find Success

While Harlingen put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Veterans Memorial. The Cardinals skirted past the Chargers 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Chargers back in March, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

The result came thanks to Ernesto Aleman's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. Harlingen is 2-1 when Aleman allows two or fewer hits, but 9-10 otherwise.

The victory got Harlingen back to even at 11-11. As for Veterans Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Harlingen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Harlingen South on the 12th.
