Volleyball Recap: Brockport Takes a Loss

Brockport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Brockport actually scored more points across those five sets (110-107), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-20, 26-24, 19-25, 18-16.

Brockport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Brockport will host Greece Olympia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they will venture away from home to challenge Sutherland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
