Volleyball Recap: La Junta Find Success

La Junta won the last time they faced Sierra and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Stallions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Kayla Ruiz paced La Junta's offense, picking up nine kills. Ruiz got some help from Gabrielle Ojeda and her 21 assists. Kolbi Engebrecht controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win got La Junta back to even at 9-9. As for Sierra, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

La Junta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mitchell on the 25th. As for Sierra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Montbello on the 25th.
