            Softball Recap: Nanih Waiya Warriors vs. Philadelphia Tornadoes        
        
		
        
        
            Nanih Waiya came into Friday's   contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by  a  14-4 margin over the Philadelphia Tornadoes on Friday. With that  victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 7  runs per game.

 Addison Price was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits (and not a single walk). That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Emma Dickerson, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Adalynn Snow was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Nanih Waiya  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Nanih Waiya's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Philadelphia, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nanih Waiya will head out to  challenge Lake  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Philadelphia, they will face off against Sebastopol at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
