Basketball Game Preview: South Spencer Rebels vs. Boonville Pioneers

The South Spencer Rebels will head out to take on the Boonville Pioneers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, South Spencer lost to Southridge at home by a 40-26 margin. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Raiders are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Boonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 46-39 to Tell City.

Boonville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for South Spencer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

South Spencer strolled past Boonville in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 62-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Spencer since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
