Softball Game Preview: Windom Eagles vs. Pipestone Arrows

The Windom Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Pipestone Arrows at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Windom and Redwood Valley meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 7-4.

Meanwhile, Pipestone gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out St. James 6-5.

Windom's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Pipestone, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Windom skirted past Pipestone 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
