Softball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 43rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Westview Knights, falling 19-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Monday.

Zoe Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Anieah Lewis, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Westview, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Peoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westview, they will head out to square off against Crismon at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
