Volleyball Recap: Delphi Community Takes a Loss

Delphi Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Rossville Hornets. The Oracles were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-15.

Alissa Miller paced Delphi Community's offense, picking up five kills. Miller got some help from Sami Leopard and her eight assists. Aly Stier and Payton Morrow kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Rossville found their leader in freshman Cassie Schoon, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Delphi Community's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Rossville, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Delphi Community is set to face off against their familiar foe Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rossville will challenge rival Tri-Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
