Volleyball Game Preview: Gilbert Christian Knights vs. Cicero Prep Academy Centurions

After both having extra time off, the Gilbert Christian Knights and the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gilbert Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Gilbert Christian got the win against ALA - Anthem South by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gilbert Christian took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Cicero Prep Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Scottsdale Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Centurions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-15 in the first set.

Cicero Prep Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (113-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 30-28, 14-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Gilbert Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10. As for Cicero Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
