Softball Recap: Ranburne Gets the Win

Ranburne won against Victory Christian last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 last Tuesday.

Ranburne is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Victory Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Ranburne will square off against Central of Clay County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
