Baseball Recap: Deerfield Demons vs. Palmyra-Eagle Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Williams Bay, Deerfield was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 6, 2025, but that streak is no more.

Landon Brattlie made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). Deerfield is 3-1 when Brattlie allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-6-1 otherwise. Brattlie was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
