Baseball Game Preview: Alexandria-Monroe Tigers vs. Blackford Bruins

The Alexandria-Monroe Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Blackford Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Alexandria-Monroe came up short against Madison-Grant and fell 7-4.

Alexandria-Monroe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Brizendine, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was Brizendine's first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Blackford was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastbrook. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Blackford's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
