Softball Game Preview: West Craven Eagles vs. Washington Pam Pack

West Craven hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The West Craven Eagles will welcome the Washington Pam Pack at 6:00 p.m. West Craven has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

West Craven is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Ayden - Grifton, falling 14-3.

Angelina Smith and Alyssa McCoy did some serious damage despite the final result: Smith scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while McCoy went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Jarman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Washington's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of D.H. Conley.

West Craven's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

West Craven couldn't quite get it done against Washington in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can West Craven avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
