Preview: Cornerstone vs. Wichita HomeSchool
Wichita HomeSchool will be playing at home against Cornerstone at at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Cornerstone will need to watch out since Wichita HomeSchool have now posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Wichita HomeSchool and Sunrise Christian Academy were playing football. Wichita HomeSchool made easy work of Sunrise Christian Academy last Friday and carried off a 88-66 victory. No one put up better numbers for Wichita HomeSchool than junior Will Day, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 162 yards on the ground and threw 6 TDs. If you haven't heard Day's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past seven games.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Steelville two weeks ago, Cornerstone came back down to earth. Cornerstone were dealt a punishing 22-64 defeat at the hands of Claremore Christian. The defeat was a vexing one since Cornerstone were expected to win based on their state ranking.
Wichita HomeSchool's win lifted them to 7-0 while Cornerstone's loss dropped them down to 4-2. We'll see if Wichita HomeSchool's success rolls on or if Cornerstone are able to steal their positive momentum.
