Oswego scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 93-87 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rome Free Academy Black Knights. While losing is never fun, the Bucs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Black Knights are ranked 14th).

Uzziah Grimes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rome Free Academy, going 12 of 24 en route to 31 points and three steals. Grimes' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Deandre Neal was another key player, going 10 for 21 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds.

Oswego has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Rome Free Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Oswego has already played their next contest (against Fowler), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rome Free Academy will challenge Whitesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
