Football Recap: Skyline's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

Skyline's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Marlette Red Raiders by a score of 29-22. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Gideon Starkweather, who rushed for 55 yards on only five carries, and also threw for 77 yards and one touchdown on only six passes.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Marlette, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will challenge Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons' defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Marlette, they will take on Laker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
