Basketball Game Preview: Oshkosh North Spartans vs. Appleton East Patriots

Oshkosh North is 0-10 against Appleton East since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Oshkosh North Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Appleton East Patriots at 7:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, Oshkosh North lost to Oshkosh West on the road by a 63-47 margin. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Appleton East entered their tilt with Kaukauna on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 70-31 victory over the Galloping Ghosts. That looming 70-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Appleton East pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Oshkosh North, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Oshkosh North was dealt a bruising 78-40 loss at the hands of Appleton East in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Oshkosh North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
