Basketball Recap: Greene County Tigers vs. Greensboro Raiders
The Greene County Tigers lost to the Greensboro Raiders back in December of 2023, but the Greene County Tigers didn't allow the Greensboro Raiders the same satisfaction on Friday. Greene County walked away with a 44-31 win over the Raiders.
Lester Scott was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Jeremiah Bullock was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two blocks.
Greene County's victory bumped their record up to 5-20. As for Greensboro, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greene County will take on the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Greensboro is on the road again on Monday and plays the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
