Volleyball Recap: Nokomis Takes a Loss

Nokomis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cony Rams. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-10.

Ashlyn Bowie paced Nokomis' offense, picking up three kills. Bowie were helped by Rayonna White and Abby Strout, who contributed three assists each. Casseigh McDonough controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Nokomis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cony, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nokomis will take on Gardiner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cony, they will host Brewer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
