Baseball Recap: Escambia Academy Takes a Loss

If Escambia Academy was feeling good fresh off their 15-3 takedown of Atmore Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Escambia Academy Cougars came up short against the Evangel Christian Lightning on Friday, falling 15-2. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

Escambia Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Traegen James, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Escambia Academy fell to 2-1. As for Evangel Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Escambia Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against South Choctaw Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evangel Christian, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
