Basketball Recap: Tift County Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Tift County entered their tilt with Northside on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 46-28 win over the Northside Eagles. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Eagles are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tift County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Osario Brewton out in front who posted four points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Lawson, who had seven points and eight rebounds.

Tift County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Tift County's record is now 6-1. As for Northside, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Tift County will be taking part in a tournament against Williston at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northside, they will take on New Faith Christian Academy in a tournament on Saturday.
