Eagle River won the last time they faced Chugiak and things went their way on Monday too. The Wolves walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Mustangs. With that win, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Liam Lierman was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian (CJ) Budeshefsky, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

The victory made it two in a row for Eagle River and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Chugiak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Eagle River and Chugiak will both be playing West Anchorage the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolves will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
