Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Granada Hills Charter's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Granada Hills Charter won the last time they faced Chatsworth and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Highlanders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Chancellors a 15-0 shutout. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by ten runs or more this season.

Zoe Justman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Victoria Rubio also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Granada Hills Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in five consecutive games.

Granada Hills Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chatsworth, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-13 record.

The timing is sure in the Highlanders' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Cavaliers have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Chatsworth will challenge rival El Camino Real at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
