Baseball Recap: Lamar Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

While Lamar's victory against Manitou Springs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunder sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Mustangs on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thunder have posted against the Mustangs since April 29, 2023.

Lamar's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Hose, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Lamar's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Manitou Springs, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-9.
