Basketball Recap: Reagan's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Reagan won the last time they faced LEE and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Reagan Rattlers secured a 45-39 W over the LEE Volunteers. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Volunteers are ranked 758th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christian Kelley was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted six points. Another player making a difference was Jemitri Wurtz, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Reagan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for LEE, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reagan will head out to square off against Churchill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Reagan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season. As for LEE, they will head out on the road to challenge Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something LEE surely won't give up without a fight.
