Volleyball Recap: Thomas Jefferson's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Thomas Jefferson won the last time they faced George Washington and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Thomas Jefferson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-18.

The victory got Thomas Jefferson back to even at 6-6. As for George Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Thomas Jefferson will host Vista PEAK Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for George Washington, they will challenge Hinkley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
