3A Conference 30 recap October 1, 2013
Heritage extended the longest winning streak in 3A Conference 30 this week by beating Amherst County, 25-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Pioneers.
Tunstall fell to Magna Vista 46-26 last week, the largest margin of any game. Peyton Farrior was a bright spot for the Trojans, as he threw for 46 yards, ran for 22 yards and caught 6 passes for 90 yards in the defeat.
Tunstall's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chris Buckner has thrown for 508 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Farrior has 14 catches for 171 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rustburg takes on Brookville. As it stands, the Devils are in fourth, while the Bees are in third.
Liberty led the league in scoring this week by notching 39 points on Rustburg.
