Recap: Tucumcari Rattlers vs. Dexter Demons
The Tucumcari Rattlers lost against the Dexter Demons back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Tucumcari was dealt a 62-7 loss at the hands of Dexter. Tucumcari has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dexter was led to victory by Cj Granados and Kaesn George. Granados threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, while George gained 275 total yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Omar Loya, who gained 90 total yards and two touchdowns.
Tucumcari's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Dexter, their win was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tucumcari will challenge New Mexico Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Mexico Military Institute is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Dexter, they will head out on the road to face off against Ruidoso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ruidoso is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
