After losing to Steinert the last time they met, Hillsborough decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Spartans 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Krish Patel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on TJ Westlake, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Hillsborough's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Steinert, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.

Coming up, Hillsborough will venture away from home to face off against Bridgewater-Raritan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Steinert, they will take on Trenton Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
