Softball Recap: Flagstaff's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 11

Flagstaff entered their tilt with Verrado on Friday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Vipers a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ryleigh Alex, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Flagstaff was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Flagstaff's victory bumped their record up to 15-6-1. As for Verrado, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.

Coming up, Flagstaff will venture away from home to square off against Coconino at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Verrado, they will take on Paradise Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vipers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
