Football Recap: Pecatonica/Argyle Comes Up Short

Pecatonica/Argyle fell victim to Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca 28-0. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 37-12 to Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Konichek, who picked up 48 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Hunter Hagensick got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Pecatonica/Argyle and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Pecatonica/Argyle has already played their next matchup, a 31-0 loss against Riverdale on the 27th. As for Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-7 defeat against Black Hawk/Warren IL on the 26th.
