With a playoff win on the line, Pacifica rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Granite Hills Eagles by a score of 42-35. The win was just business as usual for the Tritons, who after 15 games remain undefeated this season.

Alijah Royster was his usual excellent self, picking up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Pacifica was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Another reason for the win was Pacifica's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Julian Villegas was the leader with two. Pacifica received some extra help from Deville Warner, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

When it comes to explaining why Granite Hills lost, don't look at Zachary Benitez. Despite the final result, he threw for 335 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. A healthy portion of that aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Zhedan Smith.

Pacifica's record now sits at 15-0. As for Granite Hills, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Pacifica will take on Central East at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tritons will need to watch out since the Bengals have now posted at least 31 points in their last 12 games. Granite Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
