Baseball Recap: Waverly Tigers vs. Wheelersburg Pirates
Waverly extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 7-6 in the process. They fell 4-1 to the Wheelersburg Pirates. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
As for Wheelersburg, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games.
