Basketball Recap: Morningside Academy Starts Season with Victory Against West Melbourne Christian Academy

Morningside Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Melbourne Christian Academy 70-31. The Eagles (Eddy) have beaten West Melbourne Christian Academy the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest West Melbourne Christian Academy has come to flipping the script.

Arianah Wallace was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 39 points and ten rebounds. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Mosley, who posted eight points and four steals.

Coming up, Morningside Academy will welcome Berean Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Melbourne Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Kissimmee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 11.
