Volleyball Recap: Indio Beats La Sierra for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Indio had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the La Sierra Eagles.

Indio walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-20.

Ethan Hernandez paced Indio's offense, picking up nine kills. Hernandez got some help from Yosgart Gonzalez and his 11 assists. Gonzalez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Indio's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for La Sierra, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Indio wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Coachella Valley on the 1st. As for La Sierra, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rubidoux at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th.
