Basketball Recap: Indian Springs Takes a Loss

Indian Springs lost against Founders Classical Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indian Springs Thunderbirds had to suffer through a 65-35 loss at the hands of the Founders Classical Academy Centurions. The match marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Indian Springs lost, don't look at Jacob Gourley. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 17 en route to 18 points. Gourley's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vance Dilger, who posted seven points and nine boards.

Founders Classical Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Bruning out in front who had 14 points. Adam Bruning was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Indian Springs now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Founders Classical Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Indian Springs has already played their next game (against Beatty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Founders Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-16 victory against American Heritage Academy on the 18th.
