Basketball Recap: East Wake Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Wake had lost nine straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-14 to make it ten. They lost 72-52 to the Knightdale Knights. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 62-46 to the Knights when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, East Wake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Andreas Arrieux posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Midgette, who had ten points.

As for Knightdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while East Wake is ranked 396th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Brennen Jefferson, who shot 73% from the field to rack up 26 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.4% shooting accuracy. Jamel Perry was another key player, going 6-for-14 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds.

East Wake has already played their next contest, a 66-56 defeat against Franklinton on the 16th. As for Knightdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-50 win against Wake Forest on the 16th.
