Volleyball Recap: Dixie Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dixie can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Park City Miners on Monday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Flyers haven't been shut out since back in September.

Shae Stephens paced Dixie's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stephens got some help from MJ Mauinatu and her 20 assists. Finally, Emma Nelson kept Dixie's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Dixie has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season. As for Park City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Park City, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Snow Canyon on the 28th.
