Basketball Game Preview: Piedmont Panthers vs. Anson Bearcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Piedmont Panthers take on the Anson Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Piedmont will be strutting in after a win while Anson will be coming in after a defeat.

Piedmont took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 53-45 victory over Union Academy.

Anson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 70-63 to Central on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Bearcats still had to take the loss.

Piedmont's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Anson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Piedmont strolled past Anson in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 58-41. Will Piedmont repeat their success, or does Anson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
