Baseball Recap: Maricopa Rams vs. McClintock Chargers

Maricopa fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against McClintock on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the McClintock Chargers by a score of 5-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 17, 2018, but that streak is no more.

Will Hawkins was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Hawkins was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.
