Basketball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont suffered their closest defeat since January 2nd on Thursday. They fell just short of the Reading Memorial Rockets by a score of 53-50. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Belmont now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Reading Memorial, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Belmont will finish 2024 at home by hosting Bishop Feehan at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Reading Memorial, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lexington at 5:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
