Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ben Xiong and David Satorio Lead King's Academy to Victory

King's Academy won the last time they faced Eastside College Prep and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers.

King's Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 25-12.

King's Academy was led to victory by David Satorio and Ben Xiong. Satorio had eight digs, while Xiong had nine kills, five digs, and three blocks. Those nine kills gave Xiong a new career-high.

King's Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

King's Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-16 record this season. As for Eastside College Prep, they dropped their record down to 8-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, King's Academy will face off against Milpitas at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastside College Prep, they will head out to challenge MacDonald at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Condor at the right time seeing as the Condor are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
