Sierra Vista has gone a perfect 10-0 against Southeast Career Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mountain Lions will face off against the Roadrunners at 11:00 a.m.

Sierra Vista heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Saturday. They fell just short of Durango by a score of 7-6.

Sierra Vista saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Smith, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, it was a classic East v. West duel when Southeast Career Tech challenged Western on Saturday. The Roadrunners blew past the Warriors 15-0. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Western's batters probably weren't too happy with Asa Briggs, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up two walks).

At the plate, Southeast Career Tech got a massive performance out of Bruce Trzpis, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Kentin Grantz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Southeast Career Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Southeast Career Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Sierra Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 20-10.

Sierra Vista took their win against Southeast Career Tech in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Mountain Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roadrunners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
