Baseball Recap: Osceola Gets the Win

Osceola won the last time they faced Countryside and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Osceola Warriors walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Countryside Cougars.

Cooper Walker looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Osceola is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Osceola let Kaden DeLeeuw and Ethan Futch run wild. DeLeeuw scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Futch scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave DeLeeuw a new career-high in runs.

Osceola's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Countryside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Osceola will head out to face off against IMG Academy Silver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Osceola's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so IMG Academy Silver's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Countryside, they will host East Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Countryside: 3.4, East Lake: 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
