Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Crusaders vs. Nokomis Redskins
Lutheran lost against Nokomis back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lutheran Crusaders fell just short of the Nokomis Redskins by a score of 2-1.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lutheran sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 27-29, 25-10.
Leading Nokomis to victory were Grace King and Maddison Dewerff. King had 25 digs, while Dewerff had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Dewerff has posted in her last 11 matches.
Lutheran has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Nokomis, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.
