Soccer Game Preview: Pittsburg vs. Independence

The Pittsburg Dragons will head out on the road to take on the Independence Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Pittsburg sitting on three straight wins and Independence on seven.

Pittsburg had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Parsons on Tuesday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Pittsburg pulled away in the second half with two goals.

They hit Parsons with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Moss, Liam Diamond, and Bradly Cifuentes.

Meanwhile, Independence had just enough and edged out Field Kindley 3-2 on Tuesday.

Independence's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Pittsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
