Soccer Game Preview: Douglas vs. Lander Valley

Douglas is 1-7 against Lander Valley since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bearcats will square off against the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Douglas' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Newcastle 9-0. Douglas have beaten Newcastle the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Newcastle has come to flipping the script.

Douglas' offense was hitting Newcastle from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Avynn Yost led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Lander Valley had to kick off their season on the road back in March, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Worland.

Douglas now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lander Valley, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
