Edgewood is 8-2 against Sullivan since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Arrows at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Edgewood's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Brown County. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.
Jackson Huber tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has become a key player for Edgewood: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Will Lawson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Gunnar Perry was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Edgewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brown County only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, Sullivan came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cadets by a score of 6-1.
Sullivan pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edgewood, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Edgewood took their win against Sullivan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-1 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Arrows turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
