Softball Recap: Harrison County Thorobreds/Fillies vs. Great Crossing Warhawks

After losing to Great Crossing the last time they met, Harrison County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Thorobreds/Fillies came out on top against the Warhawks by a score of 8-4 on Thursday.

Shyanne Ross made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
